Dominant Beagles

While your independent Beagle will simply ignore your commands, a dominant Beagle will show you his discontent of being ordered around. If your Beagle displays defensive behavior while guarding his food or toys, shows a readiness to launch into a fight, or growls when not allowed to do what he wants then he considers himself dominant over you.
